What I found most interesting was that the reviewer (in the verdict section) said what I have been noticing in all pictures I have seen between these two cameras:

“But in my testing the Nikon Coolpix P7700 beat the Canon PowerShot G15 in both the outdoor real life resolution and high ISO noise tests.”

Since both of these cameras are basically designed to be outdoor travel cameras, (made for very low ISO shooting only) and the P7700 has that great 28-200mm reach, it seems like it has the edge in this category. Also, having that fully articulated LCD, in camera panorama mode, etc… makes it even more appealing for it's intended use. It sure seems like Canon really needs to do something very special, maybe start being more innovative for a change when the G16 arrives to stay competitive in this segment.
