I concede, I don't know how to use my 60d

I found the transition from no-auto-functions film SLR to 60D rather difficult. You could get used to it by shooting manual focus, manual exposure and adding auto functions, as I did. Or, you could start from "program" P mode and autofocus, and add more controls. I did a lot of fiddling, inspired by the manual, in order to get the feel of various functions, and there are some that I haven't yet ingested (back-button alternate assignments).
