The OLED EVF actually uses more energy because although OLED is more efficient in general, the EVF resolution is much higher, so it has to drive many more pixels that the LCD does. if you like using the EVF exclusively, you could try setting the LCD to display only exposure info/setting, and not the actual live view. I'm sure that will increase your battery life.
