Software correction would be an issue.

Because M.4/3 uses a lot of software correction for lens distortions, making a TC would present a number of significant hurdles.

Distortions (in some cases severe distortions) would be further magnified causing even more excessive correction to be applied. And that's assuming you could get sensible data to make the corrections, the TC would need to know how it combines with the attached lens in regard to distortions, and each time a new lens comes out, the TC would need it's firmware updating to cater for that lens.

Some recent olympus primes (eg: 45mm, perhaps others) have little or no s/w correction, so these could perhaps be used with a passive TC that didn't include correction data. Just about the only combo I'd be interested in would be a very good 2x TC on my 75/1.8 to give me a 300/2.8 (5.6) FF equivalent, which would be very handy indeed. To maximise quality, I'd be happy if it were specifically built for that lens, even if it meant it was no good for other lenses.
