X3F File Repair

Hello. I'm looking for a utility or some guidance on repairing an X3F file. Short story -- I inadvertently deleted the image from my DP2. I immediately tried to recover it with ZAR. It took a few rounds with their support to actually find and recover the file. Once retrieved, I tried opening it in SPP 3.5.2. It shows a preview of the file, but attempting to open it for processing raises a processing error. Same with Lightroom 3.6. The file is just over 13MB, so I think all the data is there.

I did find an X3F file repair utility on the internet (from GetData). It returned "not a valid X3F file" or some such. I found a lot in the searches that pointed back here, but a lot of it is old, and links to code or scripts or other resources are long gone.
