I am really enjoying my OMD, no complaints. Friday I purchased the Oly 45mm 1.8 for a portrait session over the weekend. My only other lens I own for this body is the Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8. With the Panasonic lens I have experienced quick and accurate autofocus. But with the Oly I could not even autofocus on the eyeball, just continuous hunting and not a single focus lock. I quickly swapped lens back to the Panasonic and everything worked perfect, no panic and no one noticed I had gear problems. That was the first time experience and I used it right out of the box. Below is a setup shot to show the environment and a couple images I shot with the Panasonic. I had adequate light in the room for focusing but don't know why I had issues. Is there a special way I need to use or focus this lens?

It hates back light.  I was shocked when my om-d performed better in low light than bright light.

Without the darkness the light would be nothing !
