Gentlemen, thanks for viewing and those nice words. Yes SR sure helps. I have shot 1/20 sec with the DA* 300m on the K5 and the set up is no way light-weight!!!

This lens is a fine tool. Had I a split-prism screen, life would have been simpler. but the Kx (or for the K5) factory screen is not too bad. There are some misses... but I guess i am now kind of used to- the screens and the misses but again, my astigmatism does not help. Katz-eye does appear expensive and the others- I dunno- any suggestions?

Old glass is fun. I shoot with quite a few old lenses and the picture quality - as long as i get focus and exposure right - is just as good with the old glass. Differences- in bokeh in micro contrast... I am sure there will be. But with 95% + shots going on to the web/ viewed on the computer, it is not something I cant live with.

This Tair 11 A is a fine lens. I believe its cousin is even better when it comes to the bokeh. Looking forward to trying this outdoor tomorrow evening - its Diwali- the festival of lights!
