You likely exposed for the sky to get those wonderful colours but couldn't quite get the land bright enough because the range of values was too great for a single exposure so you used the fill light or something like that and cranked it introducing a lot of colour noise.
The best way to achieve what you are after would be to bracket and compose in Photoshop.
But they are nice. Well done.
