Turning the DPM 1 and 2 into a medium format camera.

Granted this idea is bass ackwards but was thinking if you took threaded bolt and bent it to the appropriate degrees you could mate two DPM 1 or 2's together and have all the manual adjustments the same to take two DPM's take simultaneous pics to stitch together.  Granted you can take two pics and stitch but they would not be simultaneous.  This combo would turn the 45 mm equivalent lens into a 32 wide side by side and the 28 DP1m into a super wide 22MM side by side.  Triggering the shutter at the same time is the interesting part.  With some simple hardware and two 1k cameras you can take files that are at the level of a medium format camera.  Any flaws in this idea?
