1) Nothing is intuitive, unlike Windows where everything makes sense and just seems to me to fall in place.
The "Start" menu wouldn't be the first place I'd look to shut down my computer.
Then just consider it the "Windows Button" (like it appears on the keyboard) instead of calling it the "Start Button". You know like you click on the Apple Icon to shut down a Mac.
