D800 Serial # 3053xxx, Should I send it back?

I'm feeling pretty sure this cam doesn't have the left af troubles. At first I thought so but must have been doing something wrong. I must have been too close with the 70-200 as it wasn't really sharp on the test patterns (though uniform across the frame).  Here, I tried again focusing on the edge of the black bar shown using the 24-85 vr. Although they say you have to use a vertical target, this is what I got with the slightly diagonal target and I'm good with that. Some say the 24-85 vr isn't  "good glass" and at $500 it probably shouldn't be, but I believe the price belies the quality here. There's a little lateral CA visible on the small patterns, but that should clean up in ACR.
