LX5 pic advice

I've never tried any of those various modes. I've only shot RAW and afterwards fiddled with the images in Photoshop Elements. Based on samples that I've seen, I've never had an interest in any of those 'precooked' jpeg modes.

Give RAW a chance and run the results through a program like PSE and see if you get the kind of results that you are hoping for. I know that I've seen some very nice stuff from the LX5.
