I am looking for a lighting book

What I'm looking for is a book the talks about all the most boring technical bits regarding studio, portable studio (ie Eleinchrom Ranger Quadras, etc), hot lights, "cold" lights, and on-camera strobes, plus triggers, etc, and modifiers.

Don't say "Light Science and Magic"---great book, but has none of that info.  Other books are all about Nikon and Canon strobes---don't use them.  Other books are all about weddings---or portraits---or products. Not shooting any of those, either.  I have "Night Photography"---excellent book, but still not with any of this info.  I am not "painting with light" (blech--what an awful cliche).

I'm looking for a dead boring reference text that lists systems, compares/contrasts them, talks about hooking them up and using them together, using ttl and slave flash together, manual flash, & etc.

I'm a noob at lighting, at least at the "intense" level (been using camera flashes for some time now).  I have not been able to find such a book(text) despite multiple searches using dozens of search terms (I'm a pretty good researcher).

Is it possible that this noob is going to have to write this book himself????
