Sony NP-FM500H on sale at Sears (USA)

Just purchased a battery from Sears.  I had not seen the messages here suggesting these batteries could be counterfit.  I would not expect good ole Sears to be selling fake merchandise.

HOWEVER.....when I got my new purchase home I compared it to the two batteries I already own.  One came with my A77 purchase, the other from B&H.  They are identical.  The Sears battery IS DIFFERENT!  Notice I did not say it is fake, but very clearly the labeling on theSears battery is different.  The Sears packaging was yellow and brittle as mentioned in another post.

So, at this point I don't know if  I've purchased a fake or not.  I make it a point of not buying memory or batteries from anyone other than established reputable retailers.  I would put Sears in that category, but maybe they have been stiffed by a supplier!
