New to X-Pro - common issues?!

Well some progress at least! I originally cleaned using air blower and arctic butterfly a couple of times as that normally does the trick on my Canon. That didn't help which made me suspect that this wasn't just the usual dust on the sensor.

Since my last post, I thought I'd give wet cleaning a go so got out my sensor swabs and Eclipse fluid. Unfortunately I only have full frame and 1.3x crop sized swabs, but I made do. After the swab cleaning, it still wasn't perfect but at least some of the spots had cleared and some had actually moved so the majority must have been on the sensor surface. Unfortunately some haven't moved at all so I don't think I'm "all clear" yet. I'll give it another couple of wet cleans clean later and if that doesn't work I'll just send into Fuji or swap it at the store. Never seen a brand new sensor this bad!

I'm not particularly bothered about the "concentric circles" as this is effectively just a radial gradient where the center of the image is brighter than the edges. I was surprised at the extent of this at f/16 as I am used to only seeing such "vignetting" at larger apertures. For those interested, the corner reading is 219 and center is 240 (aRGB).

And Chris, there are several reports posted about contaminants between the filter and sensor which presumably make their way in there during manufacture. I won't provide you with with a whole bunch of links (see final three posts)!
