Anybody ever have a lens fail because of the plastic mount? I have once when a student dropped a camero off the tripod onto its head. I think though that the plastic mount absorbed some of the blow saving the camera. Cost me 15 bucks to repair.
RU suggesting that plastic lens mounts are desirable and the hall mark of a quality lens?
That lens repairs cost $15? LOL!
Oly is making plastic junk and I do not think those lenses will last. Inexpensive lenses do not have to be junk. As I said the Pana seem much better and they are less expensive.... or my 45-200mm is. I have lenses I purchased in the 80's that I still use. Will the plastacrap lenses be around and functional in 30 years?
