Is it normal that different light formers have different color temperatures?

Hi Forum,

I have a couple of different softboxes and a beauty dish, and every different type produce a different color temperature and hence requires a different white balance. They are all from a rather cheap brand (if you consider around 100 bucks for some pieces for plastic textiles and metal cheap, boy they make a lot of money with this), but nevertheless. It's so far always worked out somehow, but I was just going through a light setup where I thought "wait a minute", because this should not really be that way, right?

How is this with "expensive" gear, like Profoto and stuff like that, more normal stuff like Elinchrom?
Thanks for your input on this,
Chris

P.S.: I do understand WHY it is or can be like that and that it's not unlikely, I'm just wondering if other manufacturers tackle this better.
