Fuji X10 New Sensor - another sunset

Compared to many my sensor change was one of the latter ones, my understanding is that Fuji didn't just produce one new sensor for the x10, they kept trying to improve the technology and this resulted in a number of replacement sensors - each bettering the one before.

For me the new sensor in my camera is significantly better than the original, its like having a new model, the improved colour clarity in particular has been a revelation. I'll have to also upgrade to the latest firmware, the version where the raw button acts like the other quick menu x series cameras, i am still on the firmware before that.

So these shots, although somewhat pastiche, are me trying to explore the colour characteristics of the new sensor at iso100 dr400, particularly at the extremes of sunset and dusk.



It would not have been possible to get this last shot with my old sensor, it looks pretty much as was at the time of capture and that is what I was after.
