I think is pretty irrelevant which you buy. They are all capable of good results. I have seen briilant results from every Nikon DSLR ever made. They all allow full control, with relative ease. Its really a personnality question. If once its bought you'll get on with using it and stop worrying they will all work out. If you are an upgrader who has to have the best then maybe go for the D7000
My advice would be to try and get a kit lens wth a greater range, like say the 18-105. Unless you've got cash sitting around to allow you to put money into lenses as and when you need them
Finally I think you'll want some money for some photo editting software which is capable of RAW conversion. Elements 11 would be a good starting point...
