All this really give you is an extended handgrip with it's own shutter button and control wheel, but it's so much more ergonomically correct than the camera without it. No more strap lug in the way!

If you're on the fence, I highly recommend giving it a try.

I bought the OM-D with 45mm f1.8/hood & grip last weekend in HK, I didn't hesitate to buy the grip as I had tried the camera previously and knew the grip would be a perfect addition.

I know some people have said the camera is not so good to begin with if you must use the grip but it's m4/3 and some of us have bigger hands so for me it's left on all the time. It still feels so light weight and easy to walk around all day.
