Many are having good results with LR4.2 RAW conversion. Yes the WC issue occurs on SOME files. This horse has been beaten to death on this forum. " RAW files - terrible" is on the extreme end of the spectrum of experience and perception that folks have discussed.
Given the flaws you have determined that your camera has, why not just return it and get something that meets your standards?
The blemishes flaw is over the top. If I found my camera suffering from something like that I'd sell it in a flash and break out my Canon kit.
