D800, why no articulating screen

I do agree, I had an articulating screen on my Olympus E-3 and absolutely loved it for tripod work. Many believe it contributes to reduced durability, which I absolutely disagree with, as I trekked with mine across 20 countries in all weather, and never had an issue. In fact, because it could rotate the screen against the body, it was better protected.
