Not sure if I did the right thing... from Canon 5D3 to D700?

In ocean of stupidity, you swim alone my friend. Thank you for restating the obvious; of course I switched from newer tech to older, that was my whole dilema. And I have so mentioned my lack of experience with the D700 and that I an continuing to put it through its paces, but that I was impressed with the D800. I am "flipping" lenses, because the 70-200 is larger and heavy than I expected and I prefer the sharpness of the 85mm 1.4G. I'm not a fan of Nikon's 50mm with the exception of the 1.2 ais manual focus.
