Day 1 K01 - potential problem - looking for feedback

My K01 arrived yesterday with the 40mm KIT Lens. I set it up and took a couple of shots and put it away. We do Boston terrier rescue and today I family came to pick up Leroy one of our fosters. Rather than playing it safe and using my trusty K10D, I took the Tamron 18-200 and Patriot LX Series Class 10 SDHC card and set up the K01. We had a fun photoshoot. The family left and we could not wait to see the pics. To my horror, half the pics would not display and the other half were scrambled with lines going through them and all kinds of distortions. My first reaction was to try another computer. Same results. Then I put the card in and used the USB cable. Same results. Finally I reformatted the card and tried again. Same results. Then I tried 2 other cards, I the same Patriot LX and a Kingston, both worked fine. I have been shooting digital since my first 1 Mega Pixel coolpix. Never had anything like this happen. Curious if the concensus is a freak problem with a bad card, or perhaps the camera is bad. I have tried my hardest to recreate the problem with the other 2 cards. All the pics are fine. Thanks
