Shooting kids - candid -
Nov 10, 2012

Hi all

i'm doing a shoot at a preschool next week where they want just some informal, candid shots - nothing posed.

All being well with the weather I'll be able to work outdoors with natural light, but think I may need to do some indoor shots. The lighting in the hall is not great. I have an SB-900 speedlight with my D7000 and I also have a set of Bowens studio lights but not a great deal of experience using them yet.

My issue is how to set up lighting for a seemingly non-posed & more natural range of shots with the kit I have.... Any suggestions most welcome!!!

many thanks in advance

ps. It's not a high pressure job with no massive expectations (before anyone says don't do it if not comfortable with it) but I obviously want to do the best I can
