Appreciate that point and it's always the case of "new release pay more"

But right now the D5200 is on pre-order for £719, the D7000 is just over £650.

I'm sure the price will drop and fairly soon, but I think on balance the D3200 is the one to go for if you want 24mp and don't really care about the swivel lcd and bracketing etc etc.
