SX50 - Verdict: Excellent! Have a look

What mode were you shooting in? Did you use a polarizer? Did you use any My Colors settings such as Positive Film?

The Perth panorama is great. Love the South Perth photo too. What a nice place to call home. Only problem I can see is that everyone is driving on the wrong side of the road

One last question, were the short focal length pictures taken in macro mode?

This is really my last question. On the long zoom photos did you use the the Framing Assist button. I'm reading that pictures actually look worse using it :o
