TZ30(ZS20) - features for travel?

Hi,

I will buy a TZ30(ZS20) next month and meanwhile I'm reading the manual named "Operating Instructions for advanced features".

As I like to travel and probably I'll be using the TZ30 mainly for travel photos, I'm interested on the TZ30 travel features, although I didn't quite get how to use them.

Page 92 of the manual lists two travel features: travel date and location. If I got it right, travel date simply computes the elapsed days from the departure date, which can be set on the camera. Location is just a text field and I didn't get why would I enter a location name if the camera records the GPS position of the photos.

Ok, but where are those informations recorded and how they are displayed? Are they by any chance recorded the EXIF info? Can I see them on a place other then the camera screen (a TV or a computer)?
