Fuji X-Pro 1: strange effect in Lightroom 4.2

I just uploaded a few shots from this afternoon, taken with the X-Pro 1 and the 35/1.4 lens, to my computer and imported them into Lightroom 4.2. To be able to compare the in-camera processing to what LR does I had deliberately been shooting RAW+JPG.

If you look at the following two pictures you will see a strange phenomenon. The first pic is the JPG, shot with Velvia film emulation mode. The second is the RAW conversion done in LR 4.2.

If you look closely at the second file, you will see a gray halo around the dog and the guy's black pants. Here's a crop to show it more clearly:

While I thought some reports about Lightroom's problems with X-Pro 1 files were exaggerated, I think this example clearly shows that there is a problem that needs some attention.
