When I create panoramas like this I try to emphasize the size of the object by reducing the amount of sky and foreground. I would crop out some of the sky and much of the level area in front of the rock outcropping. That might make the rocks themselves look larger by making them take up more of the image. It would also create an image that was much wider than tall because you would be removing some of the height of the image but none of the width.
In addition I would probably add some contrast or increase the blacks in the photo to add some detail to the rocks. Together the cropping and increased detail might make them look closer and larger. Certainly it would make them more central to the image.
That is what I do, but they are just some ideas. Take them or leave them as you feel appropriate.
