My take is that while its not an exceptional lens it is better than PZ's take. It is soft on the borders but its generally good where I use it. If I want the best crispness my K5 can muster I use something else. But its easy to use, performs well AF wise, excellent ruggedness wise and frankly has very good contrast and colour and acceptable sharpness where I use it. Bottom line - very good GP lens.
