Split this forum by brand

Well, even if that were true (it's not) do you really believe they would get more attention in an even smaller separate forum?

The only reason to split forums is to manage the excessive volume of posts in a heavily used mixed forum with posts disappearing of the first page in minutes, as became the case with the original single Nikon and Canon SLR forums. This forum has not reached that level, not by a long way.

Splitting would be destructive, losing useful content by spreading it too widely. But in any case I find it hard to believe that any micro 4/3 user wants to deliberately limit the information to a specific brand - surely it's better to see all available options when making choices, like my decision to use several Panasonic lenses on my Olympus cameras.

So which of your new forums would I have to use to stay on topic with a mixed-brand camera/lens? Both? Neither(!)?

A split makes less and less sense the more I think about it.
