Someone gave me a Digilux 1 that needs repairs costing $150.

The Leica Digilux is different from the Dlux- not sure which camera you were referring to the DLux 2 or the Digilux 2- very different cameras.

The Digilux 2 has become a classic camera- came out in 2004 and sells on Ebay in the $600 range in 2012.

It is 'only' 5 mp, has a CCD sensor and  to iso up to 400.

However it has a great Lens- Summicron- and a great look.

Used mine tonight (bought recently on ebay), took it with me in place of the Fuji Pro 1 and my X100.

I enjoy using this camera and get great pics as long as I keep the iso low.

If you can get a used Digilux 2 at a good price, I wouldn't hesitate. The Digilux 1 and 3 were not as revered.
