Rx100 burst mode

is it normal that the screen goes dark for about 16-17 seconds after I finished with the continuos shooting?

i tried with a sandisk extreme SD card rated at 45mb/s and also a slow Eye-Fi card I found there is no difference. Both black out for 16 seconds after a burst mode
