Photobucket's new format--bad news

Have just uploaded a photo to one of my Photobucket albumns with the website's new format for the first time and found that the IQ has been downgraded from what it use to be in the old format. When I copied the file to a thread here on this forum the IQ of the photo took another hit because of DPR's new format.
In the end, I deleted the post because the IQ of the photo was so bad.
Photobucket's new format is a lot more complicated now too. Many more steps to do what use to be so simple.
Why do these websites try and fix something that aint broke?
