Tokina or Canon wide view lens?

I'd go with the 10-22 since I wouldn't use the 2.8 much outdoors and the tokina is heavier I think. I had the 11-16 for a couple years but sold it when I wasn't using it much. Sometimes it would flare when pointed in the sun and sometimes not. I was very happy with the pics from the tokina. I rented the canon and was very happy with it also. I'm sure you'd be happy with either.
