Photoshop or not Photoshop?

First of all strange that topic starter as well RaptorUK could not have asked me to join here.

at Dutch we call this behind the back of someone talking, that's not nice.

Now about the photo

The question is is PP wrong (levels color correction) I don't think so. The diffreence with the flickr version is that the photo was uploaded prpbably the same day it was made. Several motnhs later the photo has been published and the edior explained me how to color correct the photo.

I learn everyday I do not know how your PP skills where 4 years ago and how it is now but mines improved a lot. Unless you started at a high level and did it from day 1 perfect.

Also do you never redo the post processing on good photo's? I do sometimes.

The back ground is reed and the photo has been made on a windy day with super light in winter. I have a huge serie from these tree sparrows and I think it is impossible to modify a background like this on so many photo's that you cannot see that it is modified. Blending a new background into a photo like this is not PP for me.

The photo above was choosen for an magazine and the editor showed me how to correct the color. Thats the difference with the one on flickr. Downlaod it and do color correction white / black point.
