Also on another point in the hosts ‘Additional rules’, I wouldn’t be able to enter as my full EXIF doesn’t carry my lens information and I have no idea why not!

I PM'd the host as you suggested, and next thing I know - my entry is reinstated. No PM, no email of explanation, it just re-appeared in the place where it was before being disqualified.
