The Illusion of the 45 / 30mp Foveon Sensor

Hi Guido,

for my taste the images you present are overcooked and oversharped but that's a matter of personal taste. Having said that they can serve as a base to draw conclusions. My (subjective) conclusion is that the DP1M has a more pleasant/natural resolution and (in those two specific images!) a more appealing rendering of noise. I guess that falls in line with the generally accepted 30MP Bayer equivalent - better than the 24MP a900, worse than the 36MP D800.
