Hi Matt. Did you have all in the preferred sRGB mode?
Perhaps to try and get to the bottom of the situation you had, is there any chance you could post a scan from one of the pages that specifically show what you described.
We have always used the standard paper choice - have seen the dearer one but did not seem to offer any real advantage.
