I like my FDn 50/1.4 for sharpness, not bokeh. In fact, I think I prefer the SEL50/1.8 over the FDn 50/1.4 as I am typically shooting closer to wide open and I think the SEL 50 does just swell. But the Contax 50/1.4 you have is my favorite with regard to bokeh - at least in the samples you provided.

You see how bokeh is tricky thing. Everyone sees it differently

In my opinion, taste, eyes or whatever, the only 50 from those in a referred test, that can be considered to have nice bokeh is EF 50 f1.2L.But I didn't include results from wider apertures in that gallery, so it is maybe harder to tell at f1.8.

Zeiss is not really good bokeh-wise. Here they are compared:

But EF 50 f1.2L is probably also least sharp wide open, so it is as usual - matter of compromise.

FDn 50 f1.4 is one of the sharpest 50mm lenses on the NEX among all brands and types. My Zeiss f1.4 is slightly sharper, as is Zeiss Tevidon 50 f1.8 and Olympus 50 Auto Macro f2, but all of those are much more expensive and difference is negligible. Certainly one of the best values.

SEL 50 f1.8 is probably best Sonys optic for the NEX line. Very fine package, and one with a smoother bokeh. I like it too.

After playing around some more and putting it up against my current SEL 50/1.8 and Canon nFD 50/1.4 today, I decided to take it back as it didn't bring anything spectacular to the party and in fact produced some wicked green CA that was taking a lot of work in LR4 to get rid of. It's still a beautiful lens though, nothing quite like looking down the barrel of a wide open f/1.2 lens and seeing nothing but glass.
