Looking for input on recent photography insurance quote...

I apologize if this is not the right area for this. I figured I would ask the pros.

I am doing what I can to establish my part-time photography business the right way (paying sales tax, legal, accounting, LLC, etc). I am currently looking into photography insurance. I received a quote, and was wondering if I could get some feedback. The cost is $510 annually, and includes the following, based on the information that I provided to them:

  1. $500,000 General Liability Limit.
  2. $10,000 in Personal Property – this includes your camera equipment on & off site.
  3. The enhancement endorsement includes $10,000 of personal property off premises (cameras).

I don't have any information other than this. I am calling them to get more information (if any is available).

To me, this seems high, especially compared to what I make doing it. But, perhaps it's not. I don't have anything to compare it to. I just wanted to get thoughts from those who have already gone down this road. Is this justifiable? I know it is a necessity, but want to make sure I'm being smart about it.

Other than that, if anyone has any recommendations on alternate avenues of obtaining insurance, I'm all ears. I am in Michigan.
