Eye-fi 16 gb pro x2

When I take pictures should I downloaded first on the phone and then share it on Facebook can somebody write how does it work exactly cause I'm planning to buy it my new Sony slt 57 is compatible I checked on Eye-Fi page and the book that came with Sony recommended that.
