In my case, shooting through a viewfinder makes composing much much easier. It seems to me that I can focus solely on the subject and the composition without too much thinking, hence making better pictures.

When I'm using my Canon S100 (sorry, don't have the RX100 ), I need more time, I check the screen then the subject then the screen. Don't know why...

Bottom line : the viewfinder makes me enjoying taking pictures a lot more. Lucky me
