I picked up an original 70's OM system camera strap for my OMD. It's a nicely made and very comfortable strap that adds a little classic touch to the OMD. It's very well made and considering it's age, is in very nice condition.

There is also some method to my madness. Most modern camera straps are not designed to be removed from the camera easily. This presents a problem when mounting the camera on a tripod when there is a bit of a breeze. The camera strap blows about and causes vibration, especially if you are using a lightweight tripod as I do. These straps come in two parts, the main strap has clips on it which enables you to take it off just leaving two short leather loops hanging by the side of the camera. This means it would also be easy to mount a wrist strap to either side if I want to. here are a couple of further shots to show what I mean.

So if you are looking for something a bit different, with a practical purpose, and want to add to the retro feel of the OMD, I recommend one of these. You can find them on ebay and they are not prohibitively expensive either. Some are in better condition than others but they've stood the test of time and will last for years to come. Personally I think they look pretty cool on this camera.

Any problem on earth can be solved by a well aimed Pomegranate...

Ah. I have fond memories of those Tony. Mine didn't say Olympus (or any other brand for that matter) but everything else rings strong bells. Very nice touch to complete the retro appearance, which, as we know, is already good enough to fool all but the real cognoscenti.
