Decisions Decisions: Which DSLR?

The D5100 looks like an absurd value right now.  I think $425 was the kit deal for a refurb this week.  Body only was $380, but the kit lens is defintely worth the $50.

Compared to the D7000 the big disadvantages I see now that I've had my D5100 for a while are:

1. Viewfinder magnification and brightness

2. Low flash snyc speed max

While these are general use and not really specality purpose items and I would like them better all the time I think for the technology you get in the body is quite enough and the savings are better spent on lenses and an off-brand flash.

At these prices upgarding will be an easier decision since I imagine you'll be able to bail out on Craigslist for a couple hundred bucks if the camera is still in good shape so you're minimzing the loss on the investment when it comes time to go to a new body.
