here is an example of a photo I took. not really that special but on the other hand it kind of has life and charm because it was formed with silver halide and not pure digital.

not trying to start a debate of fiilm vs digital but whats really is important in a photo ?

so if the "charm " part is important how would the makers of digital cameras address THAT issue ?

how would a reviewer even deal with this quality ?

what if one camera did not test out better in a lab and yet the appeal factor was there ?

what if a camera tests great but somehow is too sterile and lifeless ?



Apples and Oranges. You're not talking about film per se, you are talking about "print". A properly PP'd photo taken on a camera with excellent sensor capability prints up beautifully when done on good paper and printer.

Also, if you are saying film has charm over digital, consider that any print scanned becomes digital, therefore devoid of it's original charm
