Good poll, though biased indeed. At least I do not have to fill in my entire adress line, add to it my full name and email address.

But if those without issues would be filter out, you would get a good picture of what the problems are. And, if oil and dust polution is randomly devided across the filter or not. You would also get a good idea about the frequency of the oil problem in those camera suffering from any kind of dirt on the filter. We should all realise that Nikon does not consider oil spots to be normal. Anything that doesn't come off with normal cleaning procedures -i.e. with a blower without a brush according to manual-  should be cleaned by Nikon. It is clearly stated that under no circumstances we should touch or wipe the filter.
