I think you are completely misunderstanding the proposal (or I am completely misunderstanding the point of your reply).

Aperture Priority would not change the aperture for the bracketed exposures. I want the camera to change the aperture to get different depths of field.

The traditional exposure bracketing gives 3 photos, one of which is overexposed, one underexposed. I want 3 perfectly exposed photos.

Your idea is great. I even dream about more general approach - what about cycling through the three user settings: One photo in S mode 1/1000s (sharp), second in S mode 1/90s (blured but more dynamic), third in A mode with f/8 (for resolution) or Manual if lighting is tricky..

That's what I miss
