Color EFEX Pro 4 / Silver EFEX Pro 2 - Problems with laptop

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, if not please accept my apologies.

I have the above  (I must stress fully licensed versions) , they run fine on my main PC, but both don't open properly on the laptop. Most of the preview windows don't displayand are greyed out.

I have 4gb of Ram (the maximum supported) running both Lightroom  4.2, and photoshop CS5, with Windows Vista. (the machine is a Dell Inspiron 1545)

There are a number of threads on the Internet re the problem, and it appears to be related to GPU recognition ( when I go to settings its greyed out saying that Nik xxx doesn't support the version and it will use the CPU).

Any advice will be much appreciated.

BTW I know it's not the best laptop, but I tend to use it just to try knew work flows, when away from home whiling away time in a hotel, and the main work is on my main PC with a quality monitor.
